A
Chicago native, Elana is thrilled to be living and working in
her favorite town! Elana started performing at a young age in
her living room, singing all the Disney tunes, choreographing
dances to Genesis, and constantly recording and re-recording
crazy voices on her Playskool tape recorder. She involved herself
in every performance opportunity at school, and after graduating
from Highland Park High School, a program and community dedicated
to the arts and art education, Elana continued devoting her heart
and time to music, dance, and theatre.
Elana began working professionally
in Chicago Regional theatre at the age of eighteen. At that time,
her work on the renowned Marriott Lincolnshire's stage granted
Elana the opportunity to become a proud Actor's Equity member.
Immediately
following, Elana was hired to portray the role of Lisa in the
original cast of second national tour of the Broadway show Mamma
Mia! After traveling the country for eleven months, Elana left
the show and continued her education at the College-Conservatory
of Music (CCM) in Cincinnati, Ohio.
After receiving her BFA in dramatic performance,
Elana returned to Chicago, her favorite artistic city. Appearing
on stage in dramatic work and musical theatre productions, Elana
also works as a professional voice over artist for radio and
television spots. Through her work, Elana is now a proud member
of all three unions, AEA, SAG and AFTRA, a company member of
La Red Music Theatre, a dance teacher, and an acting coach. Elana
resides in the Chicago-land area with her amazing husband, David,
and favorite beagle, Wrigley.
